Berkley Sensei Flurocarbon

Hi guys,
I bought some Sensei in 4lb today due to the price and was just wondering what experiences people have had with it. I found that it was slipping quite a lot with the slim beauty. There has been a thread on this but it was mixed opinions and quite a while back. Does anyone have an updated opinion?

Cheers

I've been using the 3lb for about a year ad a half now and can't rate it highly enough! Haven't tried anything heavier though

I've been using 10 lb sensei when chasing bass and flathead with good results, no complaints at all . I've just bought a 6lb spool as well but have yet to try it.
I was using vanish prior to that and found that my leader knots were snapping at random, regardless of the knot I used, I'd ping lures into the abyss..

Ive used 4lb 6lb and 8lb for a long time and have never had any problems. recently went back to using 2lb and 3lb over winter and have caught some great bream. back to back uni is all I use. if you like to use long leaders its not going to break the budget.

Thanks guys, I feel confidence is a vital part of fishing and these reviews have been very positive. Hopefully I can land a few big ones with this leader.

its worth noting that I don't pay for my leader so I change it every session or if it gets over stressed from a snag up or deep in structure. those kind of thing can be a problem for any leader.

Hey guys,

I mentioned in the post above I just got 6lb sensei but havent used it yet.. well i put some on a mates outfit and it got tested real nice and came up good (see thread below for the said test). Leader knot was a double uni for those who want to know.

It did pretty well for me today even though it snapped when I pulled a 65 cm flatty onto a rock.. Any 4 lb would of done that but it stayed strong during the fight.
Thanks fellas for the feedback

I find it supple enough, though its probably a personal preference sort of thing. I like mine a little bit stiff cause too supple and it gives me the s**ts tying knots, especially in the smaller classes.

I find slim beauty slips when tying on many 4lb fluoro especially FC Rock. As much as i love this knot, it slips for me on anything under 6lb. Use an Alberto Knot, or learn to tie the FG. Guy showed me how to tie in a tackle store the other day. Went home tried it and it came out great !

I use the Sensei in 10lb for flatties etc, or when tying bait rigs.
