New Stradic ci4+.

Just realised that the new Shimano Stradic ci4+ has been released and is now in stores. Looks like a really nice reel, not sure if i prefer the old model though..

Nothing much really changed on the reel, just a new look and a new connection on the handle and i was told they cost just over $300.

They look alright, but I don't think I'll be rushing out to update my older 4000 model.

next gen CI4 hence the addition of the + (like in the new Cardiff's)
has the magnumlite rotor and addition of X-Ship
borrows the Vanquish handle

surprising, I didn't think we were getting the 2500 and 4000 until the end of this month; 1000 and 3000 to come second week of sep. Must go buy 1 tomorrow.
Being around the $300 mark, what do you go? New Stradic CI4+ or Sustain FG??? same price.

I'll give one a go I reckon, they look alright, but as said above that's close to a sustain

X-ship will be the winner for this reel , thats the only thing i felt the old model could have had , will definitely be getting one of these

I can not wait until I get my hands on one of these

I love the Stradic Ci4's and these are supposably meant to be 20% lighter and with Xship...Hell yeah these are going to be one hell of a sweet reel!!

add rapid fire drag and spare spool. . . . don't think they'd need to import the Sustain and Biomaster then.

Ive just purchased a sustain and i could easily say both the Sustain fg and the Stradic ci4+ are very similar. Really want one of these!
