Just wondering if anyone has noticed it as well? I dont use scents much at the moment but noticed the differences with the S Factor in the Wild Prawn packets...

I'm currently using a packet which is whiter than the 4th tube in that pic. Not sure if is as effective, I can smell that it isn't as strong.

I use the 2nd on the left when the fish are shutdown and 2nd on the right when they are semi active, its all about matching the colours for the conditions on the day ,the 1st colour goes off in dirty water.

Wonder which one is the correct colour?
Much difference in smell or thickness between them?

Pretty sure I have had vegemite lighter in colour than the first tube

I've been told the darker they are the older they are by a tackle store. But not sure. At the moment I'm using the second from the right and doing well.

Not sure, but my experience with the lighter coloured tube is that it is a bit more runny overall than the darker ones I'm used to using. There are big chunks of the particles that clog up the tube tho.

I think justjiggin has it spot on. Ive got tubes from last year that have gone black... i was told that it is just the age of the tube. Im trying to find where i read it (i think starlo posted it on the facebook page) that change in colour is fine, but when they turn black its time to shot them in the bin????

here we go. Taken directly from the squidgy official facebook page.

Q5: "I have tubes of S-Factor that vary in colour. Is there something wrong with them?"

A5: No. The base colour of the paste-like carrying agent for the critical mix of amino acids and salts that are the secret to S-Factor's effectiveness as a feeding stimulant varies from light to dark brown and also darkens slowly over time, especially in hot areas. These colour variations do not seem to influence the effectiveness of the bite stimulant. The mix does not have a "shelf life" as such. All the same, you should store your S-Factor away from direct sunlight and excessive heat, and if it turns completely black (very unusual), discard it.

Lol so not only do we need to match the placcie colour with the conditions we also need to match the S-factor to the conditions.

I just keep it simple and use Megastrike "Crawfish"

No not where i am its not mate but if you want it cheap you can get it a lot cheaper from the Hurricane site. I have trouble finding it at any Tackle Stores close by. I have about 6 tubes of the stuff so don't need to buy any for a while, when i run out will just get it online somewhere. Its not cheap but the tube is fairly big and last a fair while in comparison to S-Factor.
