Pflugear Triom

was wondering if many people use the 2-4kg 6'4'' baitcast version of the pflugear trion as i am looking for a new baitcast rod and looking at going a bit lighter and longer to increase my cast. This rod will be matched to a shimano caenan and will be used for mainly throwing spinnerbaits and lures for bass and saratoga. Any info on this rod would be muchly appreaciated surely some people out there use these rods.

Cheers Dylan...

I've got one, was a nice rod to start when I starts using baitcast gear.. For the price though, I'd save the extra few dollars and go one of the daiwa gen blacks over the trion.. Much nicer rod IMO

Do the gen blacks have a rod in the 6 foot range and 2-4kg baitcaster

3-7kg is as low as they go.

I don't know If I would want a lighter baitcaster than 2-4kg for throwing spinnerbaits. Spinnerbaits aren't the lightest things around. Light rod + light tip + 3/8 Spinnerbait = You're likely to snap it over the course of time.

The 3-7kg gen black will be a lot more suited to spinnerbaits then the pfluger trion. Pretty sure the gen blacks come in a 2 piece now as well.. Would be good if you were going to do a bit of bush bashing to get to bass spots

They're one piece, assuming their website is accurate...

I cant recommend them any more highly for a bash around rod - I have 5 of them and they're as strong as nails and just a quality rod for the price!

Give me a Pflueger Trion over any other rod for the $$$.
