Some very fast and stiff rods. Not my liking. I think I like the GLX more.

I have to agree with Kakaryan, I own both GLX models and an NRX and it is noticeably stiffer and less enjoyable to fish with. Still a nice bit of kit though. I would look at a new GLX DSR if I was buying a new rod to be honest.

Thanks for the replies... Have a TSR GLX and a SR GLX was thinking of a NRX but I don't like stiff rods. Think will stick with the GLX... need to buy a DSR GLX hahaha anyone no some good shops to buy from cheap on price??? Thanks all.

I have a 7'1 6-12 lb NRX and love it. It is stiff but it's great to fish with and flicks lures a mile. I've caught a few good sized tailor and salmon on it and it handled them easily. I'm really aiming to get a decent Jew on it or a smaller king would give it a good workout.

The 7"1 is an absolute beast! I reckon the line ratings are horribly wrong, it's more like a 12-20lb rod, but the guides are too small to run the 30lb leaders it could easily handle.

It's almost awkward how light it is yet so stiff

You are right about the guides but I just use up to around 20lb. I guess I could always have the little recoils removed and replaced with titanium sics and I doubt it would have little effect on the rods action. There is a heavier 7'1 that rated at 8-14 lbs I think and its way stiffer. Mines great for flicking heavier plastics though. I'm going to have a look at the new inshore NRX series when they arrive as well.
