Stella vs saltiga

Hey guys
I'm in the market of a new reel.
Was after people's opinions in what to get either a Stella 5000 or a saltiga 4000

Though I only say that becuase ive used a stella and only just played with the saltiga.

As a rule of thumb for myself, finesse reels, and up to 4000, Daiwa. Anything bigger, Shimano!

I wouldn't say ones better then the other. you can't really go wrong with either of them, it all just comes down to personal preference

Stella. Had a dogfight, done bearing after bearing. Had a Saltigas expedition, it was more hardy, but lost its smoothness after 3-4 fish.

Had my 20000Sw Stella for two years, caught bluefin, marlin and GT's on it and its still as smooth as the day I bought it. Me and the old man swear by shimono with the heavier gear

I've been through this question before and what I found was that the saltigas start out smoother than the stellas (apparently, i personally dont think so) but after a couple of weeks the Stella is smoother. The saltigas seem to have widespread reports of problems with bearings and other parts whereas the stellas have very few reports of issues. The stellas are by far the better option, which is why I got myself a 10000SW

yeah gotta agree with nagz, haha

but my old man has a saltiga 6500 and a stella 18000 and the stella is much better in my opinion,
