4.1m Bertram Caribbean

Hey all
I recently aquired a 4.1m Bertram Caribbean runabout for $50.It seems to be in quite a resonable condition and I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with these hulls? It looks to have a fairly shallow vee, so I'm wondering what their stability is like? I'm thinking of putting front and rear casting platforms in to it bream boat style.

Ok next question is, casting platforms flush with gunnel aka flats boat or lower than the gunnel?

my son not long got a 13ft carrabean, but it has a fairly deep v, and is currently doing the bottom, removed the anti foul and doing touch ups and keel at the front and rear, we were thinking of a front casting deck only, probly sitting it down 75 to 100mm, with a tiller type motor, 30 to 40 hp, so will be keen to see your updates.
cheers stuart

I would say lower than the gunnel unless you are a flyfisherman where you dont want anything to snag up the flyline when casting

Most of my fishing is fly fishing, then lure.
If the casting platforms were to be down lower, they would only be down similar to what you have said jkis.
