Rod locker/boat layout

Hi I'm after some opinions on boat layout. With all the bad weekend weather I chucked the sads on Saturday and cut the floor out of my boat for a redesign. When I bought it it was set up like the photos (sorry they are bad, forgot to take a good one before unleashing the cutting tools)

I dont go offshore much anymore so I want to add a few things. Im going to extend the front into a casting deck, add a livewell into the front seat, raise the floor so I can reposition the 4 batteries to the centre of the boat, add heaps of underfloor storage for plano boxes etc. The main thing im unsure of is if I should put the rods in a locker on the side or under the floor on each side of the batteries. Just wondering what people prefer or if there is a better way to do it. I have 2080mm of space between the front and rear seats so just short of 7 ft. Im gonna go have a look at Quintrex and Makocraft dealer on the weekend for ideas but if anyone has any ideas to set up an ideal tinny I'd like to hear them.
