Daiwa Gen Black Vs Dropshot Gen 3 ?

What are peoples opinions on either of these rods ? I am able to get one of them for a good price new etc. BUt i dont want that to be the sway. I would to like know which one is better for breaming, landbased around structure etc. Thanks

Is the blast same as drop shot ? I think 1 pieces were cheap for a while around the $70 mark but 2 piece dearer which is what I.am.after.

the blasts maybe a good blank but does it come with such an ergonmic grip like the gen black? Even the dropshot has more of a comfy grip than the blast imo.

I believe grip should play an important roll when choosing a rod which you'll be holding for manys hours on end. Anyway that's my 2 cents

yeah there a two peice, im talking about the series two blast btw, i dont think they have been out that long?

I am starting to enjoy the no for grip style rods as i am noticing more sensitivity, i usually fish with the index finger pointing down the blank which i think helps too.

I have had a few of each drop shots and blasts from a couple of different series and the blank/action seems much the same throughout.

I agree Jim, the way you hold a rod will determine what's comfy and what isn't.

check out where the for grip ends up after you have a reel on it, its skew wiff isnt it? i first notised these engineering conundrums when i picked up a raider shad rod, only bad thing was the alloy ring cuts into the blank

Thanks for the comments. I'm probably leaning towards the Dropshot still, raiders, or wait for the newer one ?? Is there any reason why the bream rods seem to be longer, considering most bream are caught around structure ? Slightly shorter and only comes in 1 piece for most brands.

Plenty of Dropshot Gen4 around now......much difference to the version 3 ? One of the best lookin rods in my own opinion hehe is the Shimano Raider 2 Soft Plastics Rod. Nice skeleton cork, and greenish yellow colour. But some of these Rods are very long for breaming rods, like 7ft3 etc. But are 2 section and light etc. Really hard buying a rod hehe.
