Matched with 50hp Merc 4 stroke. New package. Any opinions on this hull?

Thumbs down

Slapper of a hull...thumbs down for me any boat with a trekker designed front hull shape
should be sunk or come with a back brace standard.
For smooth water fishing its fine but any chop its thud thud
all the way...i speak from experiance ,mate had one
4/10 for ride
if this is the boat save your coin

agree with TNAM. great dam or lake boat, but anything more in a bit of chop it'll be a back breaker.

Have a look at the clip below. smaller setup than what u r looking at but pretty much the same hull design. And this is on a pretty calm day!

i would look at some other hulls. yes u could definitely take that hull out into estuaries and get home safety in decent chop. but something like the bluefin barracuda or wildcat (like forsterfisho suggested) fitted with a side console is a another option. the different hull would give you heaps more saltwater options and it they are also fitted with casting decks like the jabiru. How much are they going to sting you for the jabiru with 50 merc?

I have the 385 Jabiru and for estuary and lakes its fine, this would be even better as it will span over the waves, in the bay we get wet if it chops up, but who doesnt in a sub 4m boat.

If they are set up right with most weight over the back half and the motor trim correctly they are good, i get 30mph from my 385/25hp setup

Getting it for an unreal price. I will be fishing the Shoalhaven and St George's Basin 90% of the time and if the conditions are right then maybe duck out to middle ground and long nose in Jervis Bay. Odd occasion will do Burrinjuck and Jindabyn and some river trips for cod.

Would the boat be sluggish with the 50?

Ended up going for the deal and took delivery Thursday arvo. Stoked with it's performance. Handles chop and wakeboard boat's wake with ease. We powered straight over the top of it all and didn't take a drop. Mind you when we hit the 4 knot zone it was a little different.
