Can't deside.

Hey guys I'm a bit stuck buying a new reel due to a few factors
1. I'd like a 2500 size for my 5-8kg Dstrike something like a arenos or something around the $200 mark.
2. I've seen a few good prices on a white caldia2004, a gekkabijin mx 2004, and freams at local shops.
Any advice?

I would even go for 3000 size to match 5-8kg rod better, thats what i think anyway some might say 2500 is better matched.

Cheers

Hey James where did u see them? That's a good price my only concern with the ci4 was the amount of people who have said they flicked a little bit of sand into them and they start grinding. I'm little hard on my gear and shore bash most of the time, my cheap laguna 2000 has copped a flogging and truck load of sand over the 200-300 odd hours I have used it and is still as smooth as it was new.
If a 80 dollar stand up to it why can't the $280-300 Stradic?

Because they haven't looked after there gear lol, the stradic fj has a solid spool instead of the ci4s drilled out one so they may keep more stuff out.

Clean it after every use and you will never have a problem, I cringe when I see shots of there rod on the sand next to a fish!

+1 they are awsome reels,I have the 1000,2500,and 4000.I love em can not fault em,for the price I dont think they can be beaten. The 2500 has 7kg of drag which would be perfect for your rod mate! Can handle anything!

if you where after a spare spool go for the rarium, they come with two.

my ci4 is a 2500, i picked up a spare spool on here not long ago for $55. there not hard to find on ebay too.

You could easily run the two rods with one reel and two spools.
