advice on a new reel.

hi all,
looking for a new reel to use off the rocks for tailor in winter and perhaps even for jewies. I was thinking a stradic fj, as it is fairly budget, and tough as nails. my questions are:
should i be getting a 3000 or 4000?
what poundage rod should i match it to? i was thinking 3-6kg or 4-6kg...is that about right. any help/suggestions are very much appreciated.
cheers

I use x2 different 10 kg sticks for heavy structure like rocky points. One that casts up to 45gram lures and one that casts 20grams. I use a Stradic 2500 for the lighter lures and a 4000 for the heavier. These reel sizes match my rods. As with all combos, choose the rod that will do what you want and match the reel to suit. Stradics are great work horses and won't let you down.
