Anyone run Fluro on a 2506?

Just got another 2506 and was wondering if anyone runs Fluro on a 2506 I have Fluro on a 2004 will I gain much with the 2506? Cheers reece

yes but only cause thats the reel that I like best on that rod and I throw crankbaits with it.

I haven't noticed any great advantages or disadvantages.

Lucky lucky, nice rod mate. Can't wait until I can afford one. Updates on how the combo goes would be great. It should be totally sweet the diff. between a 2004 and 2506 is just the slight size increase +1kg of drag right?

will let ya know and post a few photos

2004 190 grams 2.0kg drag
2506 205 grams 3.0kg drag

the 2506 has the bigger spool so casts really well

I run a 2506 spool on my Steez, with 3lb fluro. I much prefer the larger diameter spool for casting and line control.

Does anybody know if any after market companies do shallow spools for 2500 size shimano reels? Or if any of the Japanese models do that size body but with a finesse spool?
