cast away line problem

I think I tie pretty good knots usually an have never had a problem with them in the past- I've recently bought some 20lb sunline cast away for my bait caster which is meant to be the bee's knee's an am havin trouble tyin a leader knot to it without it breakin under pressure by hand (20lb fc rock leader) it seems to break at the braid an inch from the knot everytime ? not happy with it anyway- has anyone else experienced this?

Not a fan of cast away for baitcaster mate, I had it and it just kept getting birds nest, other than that my leader knots always held and never had any line break, might be a bad batch?

Learn a FG knot mate up never go wrong again also I only run Sunline on my spin kits and run suffix 832 on my bc kits.
Reason 1 it's less likely to bird nest then cast away
Reason 2 it's more abrasion resistant and all my bc work is normally tight stuff around snags etc. and spin stuff on flats points deep drops etc.

If its breaking above the knot in the 20lb braid section by hand then there is something wrong with your braid not the knot.

I have 20pd on the zillion
Always get birds nests
Over it, time to change I think
Use 10 pd on the bream reels for years and it's Awesome

I've started using a slim beauty and doing a unI knot on the braid side. Its a nice neat little knot and easy to tie. I moved away from albright ages ago unless I'm tying 4-6lb leader.

I've been tying Kaneit with castaway for many moons now. Never a problem.
Castway is one of my favourite lines.
