Diawa fuego

I have seen a lot of people with the Diawa fuego and I can't seem to find them anywhere. I was just wondering if they still sell them and is there anyplace in Melbourne where I can purchase them

They were never released in Aust mate. Have a look on US sites or maybe ebay might turn one up. I have a 2500 and love it though it rarely gets used on the bream these days

The old model Luvias DA Custom is the exact same reel if that makes it easier for you to source.

The price went down pretty low in the US but you won't find em new anymore I don't think. I saw one in a tacklestore in aus for $450...

I have a couple of Fuego 1500's and they are awesome reels, upgraded with spool shaft bearings and about to do handle bearings. I have a 3rd one still in the box brand new I've been keeping as a spare but would consider selling it for the right $. As said identical to blue Luvias-DA just different colour scheme and re-badged Fuego for US market & come with spare spools. I think the Luvias DA are still around $260 if you can find them and the Fuego's go for same sort of price on fleabay. These reels are now discontinued much like the DA being replaced by the new magseal Luvi. If you can find one you'll like it :-)

When they were on sale I got a bunch for $124 Australian, delivered.

To be honest, none of them were as good as my DA Luvias, some have had some pretty big dramas after only a few months use...

+1 Mine had a roller bearing issue that cost $50 to replace... It lost its anti reverse capabilities....

I have a 3000A I use for Snapper fishing and have had no issues. Same as my Luvias DA Custom 2500R, no issues either.

Have had my 1000 for a few months now. Enjoying using it both around structure and over the flats. Surprised me indeed. As already said one for sale in the classifieds (1500) at a good price. Good luck with your chase. Regards. HBt.

I've been using my 2000 Fuego for over a year now and I love it, not a single problem.
My 2500 silver Luvias is about 5 years old now and gets about 6 months heavy use every year and it's still as good as new.
I just wish I bought another Fuego when they where going cheap.
