Something similar

Hey guys,

I am looking for a G Loomis BSR802, but can't seem to locate them anywhere locally. I was just wondering if there were any rods similar to it? 3-5kg and stiff as?

I haven't seem anything exactly like it man. The 3-5 Bass stix is fairly stiff but not that stiff.

There are plenty of rods you can us for racks, I will check some out next time I'm in the shop. Only about 500 rods there

Haha yeah I know mate, I just had a preference for that one as it was great for chucking surface over the racks, so much guts.

I like the same sorta thing for that type of fishing. I was using a a old GL2 cant remember the model but it was 10-17 pound

they couldn't get away after you started winding but it was really uncomfortable to use.

I am gonna do some rack fishing on my way back from Lake Mac now you have got me thinking about it again. Thanks a lot

I've been doing a heap of dock fishing in the harbour, some of the bream have been fat as, like they just had the meal of their lives. Good fun

You dont even need something expensive, just a ballsy stiff 6'10 or 7 foot rod will do the job.

Cheers
Chris

Yeah I used to use a 3-6kg trion and as soon as I was hooked up I just kept winding and I barely ever lost one. But my arms at the end of the day from constantly casting with it sucked. Was just too heavy!

As for racks, pfft lake mac, Forster is where it's at
