Xmas prezzie rod $150 max

Heya fellas I'm chasing a rod for a my sisters boyfriend with a value of $150 max as he's really only a monthly fisho and as it he basically only uses bait so I'm looking at a rod he can get into throwing sp's around in the estuaries that will match his stradic fj 2500..

So far I'm looking at one of the following..
Shimano bushy lure legend 792 longcast
Shimano raider soft plastics 732L
Shimano Raider II 722 or 762
Shimano starlo stix STP pro 731 or 762
Tcurve revo 610 ultra light 2-4kg
Samaki skitch 702SL
Samaki zing 4-8lb
Pflueger Trion 702L

Any advice on what to get would be much appreciated.

+2 on the Daiwa Gen Black. I picked up the Itchy Twitchy for the old man (1.5-3kg but feels more a 2-4kg) and was VERY impressed with it.

Sure have. I was only flicking 1/8oz heads for flathead but was very impressed with the tip action and also the grunt down low.

I'd go a generation black or the zing 4-8lb no questions if your budget is only $150. Can't say I'm 100% sold on the generations so I'd probably go the zing. I have a 4-8lb and a 8-15lb and they are both good rods for the money!

gen blacks are a good option also have a look at the Austackle featherlight 1-3 perfect for plastics and light hards also casts an 85mm 10gm surface lure no dramas.
