Nitro Vapor

On the way home from Sydney today I had a quick look in a tackle store at a Nitro Vapor 7'. Beautiful rod.
Has anyone got one of these ?

Yep the seven footer in fact all of them are great rods with a great lifetime warranty to match.

Seven footer has alot of balls- have fished it as a 10lb spin outfit in the tropics and done well. For breaming I find its good for open areas, plastics, blades and hardbodies on flats. The 6'6 is nice and stiff which I found good for plastics though the taper needs to be a whisker faster for my liking now. The 6 footer has a great taper and is really light in hand but dont let it fool you as its got all the power you will ever need. Nice for fishing plastics in the snags, vibes amongst structure and also for crankbaits as well.

Try the Ci4 reels on them- light rods deserve light reels.

I know what you mean by light rods and light reels. I put a small Luvias on it and it felt pretty good. A Rarenium would be another good reel to put on it.
Thanks for the overview the 7 footer sounds like a pretty versatile rod.

I love the vapour range of rods and they have proved their versatility over the past few years for me.
I rate them.

I have the 7 foot and was surprised how they handle big fish as I have landed 80 cm Flathead and over 50 cm Jack on it so very happy with it .Also don't forget it has the replacement warranty for about $80 on broken sections.

I'm sold. I can get a 7 foot Vapor for $370. Next time I'm up in Sydney I'll put a deposit down and pay the rest once Christmas is out of the way.

I believe that the new price on Nitro Vapours has come down recently. I bought one at Ray Long's fishing tackle shop in Geelong for just $340 about 2 months back. About two years prior to that, I paid $370 for my 6'6'' Vapour. It might pay you to shop around to ensure you're not buying old stock.

They're a great rod BTW.
