Awesome reel, gets smoother the more u use it. Only downfall I found is the drag clicker a bit too stiff making the use of ultra light line a bit tricky. In saying that I've caught snapper to 50cm on it, a 2000 size and its my fav reel.

I have a 2500 I've used for snapper and bass. The 2500 is a great reel and handles snapper we caught to 4kg with ease. Drag is great, I didn't find drag clicker a problem, but it's a bit big for bass and bream I found so I'm getting a 2000. Much better reels than my older Luvias DA's. They come with a spare spool also, unlike the new sol II which will only be available in 2004 and 2508, thought still same price as the 11 Caldia just nicer looking.

I love them. If you buy smart you can get one to your door from Japan for
$215-225. I've got a 2000 and 2508

Just bought a new 2000 because I'm so impressed with my 2500. With the 4kg drag I'll be using the spare spool for snapper with black label :-)

Have you found much of a difference after adding the extra bearings?

My Caldia is great. Used it heaps over the last year or so and it's still as good as new.
