Just make sure you use the right size screwdriver and it is in good condition.
They put a bit of loctite on the screw, as soon as you crack the seal it comes out easy.

I had the same problem on my 2012 exist,I'm sure they put loctite (the blue stuff) on the screw to stop it working loose...I took off the handle, got the wife to hold the handle down on a cutting board, with the correct size screwdriver on the screw(here comes the crude bit)lightly with small hammer hit down on the s/driver & turn anti clockwise at the same time much like an impact driver....I couldn't believe i was doing this to my brand new $1000 reel but it worked.
Just go easy you don't need to beat the s!#t out of it...good luck mate

I took the handle off the reel and put it in a vice between cardboard the used all my weight on the screwdriver and it finally cracked and unscrewed.

I just fitted one this morning to my new Luvias. Screw came undone easily with a small flat head.
