Question Virus check

Anyone know of a website where you can go to scan your hard drive for presence of this latest worm virus?

Don't think I've opened anything to get it but ya never know, and I am havin trubble getting to a few of my usual websites of late.

Wouldn't mind running a check just to be 100% sure..

Many Thanks in advance!.
Cheers!

trouty if you have any anti-virus software running that will scan your hard drive, youll probably have to do it manually but they all will do it.
if you dont have any software go to http://www.grisoft.com and get the free download. I got it the other day and for somethin free its quite impressive..... got rid of all my bugs.

I have been running the free AGV anti-virus software from grisoft for two and a half years now and not one single virus has gotten through it yet, I can't speak highly enough about it. Just remember to update it regularly, mine is set to update every week.
For an online scan try http://housecall.trendmicro.com/

Thanks

for the help guys & gal.

I scanned everything and came up 100% clean...which is always a relief...

I do run a virus checker - it's just that a few US sites I visit have upgraded software, and it now doesnt support the old browser I use so - I'm still havin trubble here n there...

Ohh well - I guess it's just another way to get you to pay for new software all the time whether you want it or not.

It's all a conspiracy i tell ya!

Cheers!

Hi Fatman

AVG is one of the best little pieces of freeware around. I strongly recommended it to my clients but have seen it broken by a virus.
I suggest you play safe and update AVG everytime you get online. It's as easy as double clicking the AVG icon next to the time then goto the Update Tab and then select update now. I get updates most days that may be as small as 50k and you don't even have to restart the PC.
