Difference in Bearings ?

Not wanting to Hijack Ross thread but have wondered this.

I have two Cetates (2000) bought circa early 2007 and two Exist (2506) bought late 2007. both the certate's roller bearings gave in about 1.5 years into thier lives. yet the exist are still faultless to this day. I use the Exist more and all are washed down every trip to the salt without exception.
I thought they were all the same bearings ar were the certate's non crbb and the exist were?

Does anyone know the answer?

if the certates are post 2010 series (navy blue model), they only came with a single bearing in the roller, which is prone to wearing.
Exists support 2 bearings which are covered by rubber caps on either side to help protect the bearings from water intrusion, however water does pass these are they will wear out over time.
