New to baitcast

Hey,

Are the Shimano Curado G generally considered comparable to the Stradic in terms of price/performance? I'm after a reel in the $200 range +/- $50 to match with a Gen Black 641MHFB Cranky rod.
Daiwa says the rod is better suited to a larger low profile type of reel and I'm just unsure where to go. Any Daiwa reels comparable in the same price bracket?

I'm just after a proven workhorse like the Stradic and something that is easy to cast. Braid wise, is Super PE suitable for a bait cast reel and if not, suggestions there too in the 12lb range?

Cheers folks

Thanks guys. It seems the Curado is a bit lower profile?
As for the rod choice, that's up in the air at the moment. Just focusing on the reel first.
The Daiwa T3 Ballistic looks the goods too. Anything there?
The new Daiwa Lexa 300 looks OK too?

Is there anything specific he loves about it? Smooth drag, good casting, winding power?
Cheers
