Stradic fj 1000 vs diawa freams 2000

I am still looking for a new bream reel and I want to fish 4,3 or 6 pound. Which reel is the better option

I have a 1000 FJ & 2500 Freams,
They are both great reels but I would go the FJ, I just love mine to bits!

1lb Crystal, usually use 2-6lb leader depending on the structure.

The sizes you are looking at are very different. This will also effect how heavy the reel is.

A 2500 size shimao is equal to a 2000 size daiwa

No way, a 2000 Daiwa is much smaller than the 2500 Shimano, if anything it would be in the middle somewhere. Ive got a 2500 Stella and it is huge compared to my 2004 exists and steez's.

If anything a 2500 Shimano would be closer to a 3000 Daiwa

Nah, Madeye in right. Daiwa sizes are bigger then Shimano.

ie: *approx* daiwa 2000 = shimano 2500
daiwa 4500 = Shimano 5000-6000

Yes they will I love sunline super pe but everyone is able to like there own things If I was to get new braid I'd go td sensor, rockfish pe or sunline. As for reel there both great I'd go the freams, light smooth but the fjs are tough.

What about a rarenium 2500? Very light, 2 spools...
And i am looking at my 2000 daiwa and 2500 shimano. Daiwa is noticeably smaller...

If it is weight that you are worried about then go the FJ. FJ1000 = 200g, Freams 2000 = 220g. If it is smoothness you are worried about then go the FJ. FJ = 5+1 bearings, Freams = 4+1 bearings. If it is longevity you are worried about then go the FJ. I know people whose FJ's feel as good as new after battles with crocodiles; would you do that to a Freams? If it is price you are worried about then go the FJ. FJ = $185 @ modoh's, Freams = $190 @ mohdo's. So yeah, go the Stradic
