The CRANKA Tinny!

Hey all,

Ive been wanting to post up some photos of the boat for a long time now, just keep putting it off. Another member recently asked me to throw some up and since Im looking for any excuse to avoid studying I thought now would be an appropriate time

This is my first boat, picked it up about 18months ago brand new from Disco Marine at Grafton. The plan was to buy it bare and then get the decks, livewell, hatches etc all done after. (The factory fitouts cost a fortune and weren't what I was after)

This was it as I got it. Stacer Proline 399 with a 30HP Mercury and an aftermarket CMC Trim and Tilt unit.

Soon after the decks were done thanks to the help of a few mates. Also added a Cable steer motorguide.

The next major mod happend a few months ago and it received a major facelift!

This was it before it was taken away for a few days...

...and when I got it back

Really love the design and think it came up great. Definitely a lot easier on the eyes!

Its put me onto some great fish. From Bream to Tuna and a lot of stuff in between. Still after 18months I cant go a week without getting out at least once (usually twice) a week

Now all that is left is to add a new sounder to the front and get rid of those ugly rego stickers for some that are a little smaller..

Anyway thanks for having a look, just felt a need to brag about my one and only. (Hope the misses doesn't read this)

Thanks everyone.

The wrap was done by Planet Wrap in Brisbane. Wouldn't recommend them..
Honestly dont know how much I have spent on this boat. Its been a gradual upgrade and Im constantly finding more things to spend money on!

Hey nabs, the minnkota is that the freshwater model? How does it go in saltwater? Have you notices any corrosion? Thinking of buying a freshwater model and use it in the saltwater.

Not sure if Nabs motorguide is a freshwater but mine is and there are a few people out there who are using FW leccy's in saltwater - just be sure to put a sacrificial anode on the shaft and give it a clean when you get home.

Have been using mine in salt for almost a year with no dramas (apart from loose connections on battery terminals).

Great looking boat man.

Wouldnt reccomend the wrap company as they were terrible to deal with. Its a long story! The finished product ended up good though so it was a good outcome.

Siddo
I got the CMC unit from Disco Marine in Grafton. The guy that brings them into the country is in Brisbane. I like the unit, going to a electric trim motor was going to be more expensive then going with the CMC unit so I chose to go with it.

Territory_7
The Motorguide is a freshwater model as Special_K pointed out. I have a anode on the shaft and havent had any corrosion dramas yet. As long as you give it a good wash after each time you use it in the salt, it will be fine.

Steersy
Looking forward to the comp mate!
