braid on spiining reels

can u use braid line like platypus on small spinning reels eg stradic 1000s

Umm......Yes!, you would be mad not to load it with braid, back it with mono and your done. Does this answer your Q?

friends by braid i did not gelspun=fireline (i use this all the time)

backing

backing doesn't just tacke up space, it provides grip on the spool as the coated braid slips on the spool rendering the drag useless
