TTF&TIP log

im here to ask a favor for all you messuring junkies out there!

next bream you catch, messure the TTF and also the tip messurments and post your findings!

Im interested in the variation from the fork to the tip relevant to the size of the fish.

No photos needed but if you could state the river system you caught it in it would be great, might even find out some trends and traits of why some bream are bigger in different systems!

if this ball keeps rolling ill make up some snazzy graphs to show the results, cheers

Just gotta say the results will vary because the tails will not be fanned out the same, some will be tail stretched up as far as possible which looks better in pics, and some will be stretched out as far as possible, which will make it look longer and then theres all the inbetween!

I've found over the years with most of the brimz I catch (yellows) that there is normally about 3cm between the fork and the tip. Of course however as a fish gets bigger that gap is going to grow larger in proportion as with smaller fish that gap will be smaller.

But 3cm is the magic number for mine

Going back threw my fishing book of the bream I have caught in the swan/canning. Fish under 30cm seem to have a larger variation compaired to the plus 30s, I also have a mini tally going for the mutant ones that turn up every now and then lol
