Have you ever considered not being a fisherman?
Hey folks,
I'm reaching a cross roads in life  I'm caught between fishing and archery/guns I'm looking at the possibility of a career change to incorporate gun smithing, in amongst some metalwork and fitting, so work might be hobby related. I'd like to hear of anyone's own personal choices Cheers

Dont mix work with pleasure IMO
I used to be in the aquaculture industry dealing with fish everyday. I never went fishing and when I did I didnt enjoy it. I do a little around the local gun shop and build my own target rifles (aside from any machining) under the supervision of a gunsmith mate there. Its enjoyable and all but again if I did it everyday I wouldnt be doing it in my spare time. Archery... that was a fad for me

X2 for not mixing business with pleasure. If you enjoy fishing then become something other than a fisherman. If you want to shoot go and work in a tackle store.
I worked in the industry for a while and am enjoying my fishing more now that I am not in it.

I study jazz.. listen to technical death metal, progressive metal & anything thats not gay metal.. I listen to this brutal DohDohDohDoh whilst tying flies & driving to fishing destinations! then I listen to jazz while fishing!

i quit fishing 2 years ago.. and just got back into it recently! because I really wanted to knuckle down with my guitar playing! it was great! now im glad I did it.. and now im fishing again and I love it.. had my first session in the swan last weekend! with in 2-3hours I had 2 fish over 40cm.. 1 was a tarwhine mind you! still good fun!
nah nickelbacks a bit to hardcore for me!
