Angry Fuuuuaaaaarrrrgghhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!

So my Saratoga arrives this morning, I unpack it carefully, only to find that the tip has snapped clean off Luckily it was right at the very edge of the tip section and can be fixed pretty easily. I'm still furious though as the guy I bought it from stuffed me around for almost a week after I paid for it, and even though I gave him very specific instructions on packing it, still managed to do a half assed job and jammed the rod in the tube. Any one know a good rod builder in Newy?

get the bloke to sort it out! What an ass! Cant help you with rod builders but DohDohDohDoh like that is unacceptable if he has just shoved it into a tube and snapped it.

For the record, best thread title ever, haha

Na it wasn't anyone on here. The worst part is that it's still brand new with the plastic and tags and everything. So devistated.

I had a similar experience with another member on here and the seller agreed to refund the money. It makes sense because you have not received the rod that you paid for, and it's the sellers responsibility to ensure that the item is packed and transported safely. I'd be asking for my money back mate, or like you said, at least getting back the cost of repairing the rod. Anyway, I'm sure a loss of 10-15mm shouldn't have a dramatic effect on the performance of the rod.

I got it for a fairly decent price to begin with, but yeah, He's definitely paying for the repair, and possibly a bit more for the trouble.

Thats just plain bloody wrong.
How hard is it to pack a rod in a tube properly?
A new tip shouldn't alter the performance too much, but thats not the point.
Hope you get what you're after eventually.

Most of your local tackle stores will repair it generally. I broke the tip off mine and it's now as good as gold for only $15
