Boat Insurance

I'm looking to get boat insurance so I can go into the Gamma comps next year. Just like to know who people use?

Thanks

had the unfortunate experience of using my boat insurance this yr and have to say clubmarine was fast and provided excellent service. the boat shop also dealt directly with them which made the process really easy. worth the extra

How were you able to get them? I tried 3 times to get a quote and each time got an email saying a rep would contact me. Never did

With Club marine, cancelled the mag to make it a bit cheaper.

im with club marine,

be wary and read the policy a lot of the cheaper ones wont cover the boat being towed by a motor vehicle i.e your car, and this is when you want it for!

read the fine print

I've had two policies with NRMA, the first one was for a Quintrex 445 dory with mods and they did it online, second one my misses did it over the phone while i was driving to the boat ramp 20 mins away. I've never had a problem or had to claim yet though.

On the Ausfish forum I'd heard some horror stories of Club Marine not covering various things from rods & reels to boat trailers in transit etc and at the price they were asking I went NRMA.

Ok. Ill try again next year when its due for renewal . No idea if they would be cheaper as NRMA just never got back to me. Not encouraging....
