Haha gold, Gotta love greedy Flatty. One of the biggest flattie ive ALMOST caught was hooked after I had a little salmon on, bloody thing just came right up and took the salmon as i was reeling it in only about 30cm of water right in front of me, makes me wonder how a fish that big could be so stupid

Had a similar thing happen. In ye oldy days went with 2 mates in a 10ft tinnie. Mates were using rods and I was using a handline. We were catching a few small flatties when my line took off. Finally got this huge lizard near the boat only to have it spit a 30cm flattie out of its mouth. The teeth marks were about 3cm in on the tail and the head of the flattie. The flattie had the smaller one across is mouth. A canibal and a guts.

I was down the sunshine plaza a couple of months ago and we were feeding a Few bream when a 70cm flatty completely swallowed a 23 or so cm bream whole. So we all ran off and bought hand lines lol ^.^

The good ole flattie... Feed on anything, Paul Burt was blabbering on about some fella caught a 1.4 meter in the Talli creek up here on the Goldy... Cant find any pics of it however could just imagine what something that size could engulf.

Small children, staffies, pelicans, maybe even a kayak if it felt up to it...

here's my smallest flattie that I've ever caught...

As you'd expect a "guts" of a fish and it was only that small...
