Fuji KR Guides

Has anyone had any experience with these and know what sort of application they are suitable for. From what I have read they use the k guide frame though have a smaller ring and longer foot. Would these be suitable for a light bream rod? Would these be better than the standard K's? What are your experiences with them?

Hey mate - I've thrown them on a TR74 Super Mebaru from Matagi. They work pretty well, seem plenty strong enough but I don't go over 6lb on the rod. Biggest fish on that stick so far is a 71cm jew on 3lb flouro, rod handled it well. I wouldn't use them on anything too heavy (probably not more than 10-12lb or so) but that's personal preference...

yeh ive got them on a loomis blank i had collecting dust... awesome for bream rods, cast really well and the weight they save from the tip is amazing (i only went down to 4mm running guides as i wanted to pass a knot). have two more rods im doing atm with them on it, but if your trying to save weight and get distance with your casts you have to try them, you wont look back. depending on your application id go as heavy as rods rated to 15-20lb max, your not going to destroy the guide before you bust your line or break the rod. but once you need a larger striper guide for the M-MH (larger reels) the regular K guides come into their own.
