Steez?

Looking for a new reel for my 201 Samurai. Was looking round the $500 mark. Found a 2508 Steez for $460 and was wondering if anyone has any opinions/experience on them before I grab one. Is the 2508 too big? Was thinking of a 2000 size reel but the weights all work out equal. Certate was the other reel I was looking at but leaning toward the steez now.

Great Reel and a perfect balance for the rod.
You won't go wrong with that.

They're the best value high end reel imo. Go the 2508. can't go wrong with it.

Hi guys,
I have both certates and steez on my samurai rods, the steez is super light but I think I prefer the certates, they are just so smooth. I don't think you could go wrong with either.
Keep in mind if your buying a steez that there is a new model that's just been released. I would think that some good deals on the current (old) model are to be had in the next few months!

Hey mate,
I got a 2508 exist a month ago,it would pretty much be the same size as a steez 2508,I to was thinking would it be to big on my Duffrod breamstix but it is perfect for me,I already had 3 2004 certates & thought the 7 kilo drag will always be there if you want to chase bigger fish

You should easily be able to find a new 2508 steez for $500 or less so if that $460 is second hand than forget it. If you are getting it new for $460 then let us know where

Try to take your rod into a local tackle shop and put a 2508 and see how it balances - try before you buy to save you hassle. You should be right though.

Goodluck with it

$460 was the price for a brand new one. Just bought it, cost $460 which included 200m spool of braid. Now to hit the racks and use the 7kgs of drag

Got it from my local tackle store. Grabbed one of the last ones, otherwise I would have probably got a 2004 as well
