Talking Daiwa TDT And Aird Combo

looking at getting a new combo and saw a daiwa tdt rod matched to a daiwa aird was just wondering if anyone has had any use of these rods or reels and any feedback would be great..

Cheers Dylan

I have an Aird, 2500 size. It goes pretty good, nice smooth drag, plenty of grunt when needed and they look great! my only complaint would be the oversized bail arm, being so accustomed to the shimano bail arms, but other than that, I love it

You wont regret it mate. I got the 2500 too and it plays with Tailors in their 40+ with ease.

Probably a bit of a late reply but I just purchased the TDT rod in te 2-4kg range and I landed my PB barra of 74cms on it. It's a little stiff but casts like a bullet and is great for plastics

most reels don't handle salt water very well mate , did you get them serviced straight after it happened?

fair enough, I've had mine for about 6 months now I think and it hasn't had any worries and I use it around the salt all the time
