Pure Fishing question????

G'day fellas.

my revo premier 20 has become really, really strange. Today all of a sudden, it became rough and I could feel the gears grinding together and at some points it wouldn't wind at all. I was just wondering if anyone has sent a reel away to pure fishing for a service and how long it takes for it to be sent back.

Hi mate

Purefishing have been awesome with me, I sent a reel away and got it three days later.

Have you fished in the rain lately? Do you hose it lightly?

It may well be the rotor head bearing that's seized.

If any reel, irrelevent of brand, can't handle some rain or a hose down after use I'd put them in the bin and look for something better.

Lachie, unless it's had a dunking in SALT water, or has been exposed to a massive amount of salt spray, you've got a problem on your hands.

Haven't had a problem with my ABU Revo..

However my Pflueger Patriarch copped a beating one day when fishing in heavy rain and winds and it also copped some salt spray after hitting some waves. I fell asleep that afternoon and forgot to wash it out so it was my problem.
