Loomis TSR GLX owners

Joelozzy, matty where you guys at?
What are these like to cast with like is there much difference between the tsr and the Dsr or am I better off just getting an NRX. I'll be probably moving to Sydney soon and will be wanting another 4-8lb outfit I want it for bream and flatties

You can't get an NRX in 4-8lb as yet as far as I am aware. I have both the TSR 862 -2 and the DSR 820 both in GLX and they are different rods. The TSR is more a finesse rod and the DSR has balls well beyond 4-8 lb. It depends on what you actually want to use the rod for to determine which is better as they are both excellent but each is better for a particular application.

Well said Sir.

I'd ask what you were looking to cast weight wise. The TSR is better for 1/20th and lighter I've found but is not too ideal for close quarters fighting although I've used it around pontoons and hulls with decent success. The DSR is the best all rounder. They are both fantastic. Especially for the price from Retailess.

If you're moving to Sydney anytime soon let me know more than happy for you to have a muck around with the rods.

Mate.... Tsr is the ducks nuts BUT nothing like a Dsr. Not better or worse different. As tcurve says dsr way more balls. The Dsr is more like a flattie/bream rod.
Lately my tsr has been gold flickin little sinking stickbaits and Cranka shads etc, the Dsr has been throwing blades and vibes.
The Dsr is a better surface lure rod/blades/plastics where the stiff xfast action is required to feel and impart plenty of action on the lure. However the tsr is all class with the 2- 4g hardbodies etc.
Get a tsr mate they are nothing like a Dsr but just as good for different reasons
The tsr a soft 'trout' rod and Dsr a bass rod.

Ahh got it thanks a heap guys! Like my problem is I love the DSR GLX but won't something a bit less ballsey a you guys have said and the little SJR6400 IMX is soooo accurate omg but I want something like it with a different grip but longer that's why I'm now considering a TSR GLX not a fan of the way the grip is on the standard SJR GLX rods. Yeah when I eventually get up to Sydney I'll have to have a flick with you guys.

SJR6400IMX, TSR862-2 GLX, DSR820 GLX and BSR852GLX. Likely to be the only rods I'll ever need in my Arsenal. Atleast until Nanorods come out with cyborg material that is voice activated, changes it's taper depending on what lure you tie on and has an inbuilt hand and/or willy warmer.

I have both glx models and to be honest I think you need both, my dsr pretty much only ever has plastics on it and the tsr is crank / light surface rod. I have a smith dancing bream and bayliner that cover everything else. Love my tsr and they do still have some balls but nothing like the dsr

You forgot to mention a structure projecting hologram device that shows you what's going on underwater around your lure
