Question Mojiko Soft Plastics

hi all,
i was browsing the anaconda web site and came across a brand of lures called "mojiko" some of their plastics look exactly like gulp and they come with more in a pack. Any one used them?

Cheers

I was given a couple of packs of the minnows that looked like gulp. I opened a pack, used a couple and never used them again. Why?
Because they are not gulp or anything like it. Its more a plastic plastic rather than a organic food-based material like gulp. The liquid that comes in the packs are oil-based (like tuna oil) and as such I found it really hard to thread the plastic on the jighead because they were so slippery from the oil. And the oil doesn't wash off easily either so you end up oiling your reel handle, rod butt handle, clothing, pretty much anything your hands come in contact with.

WARNING!!! do not buy, these plastics are really bad, they leak, ruine everything and are no good in comparison to other brands.

I've tried the mojiko prawn and the sand worm plastics from about 2 years ago and haven't bought any since. The prawn goes ok if laced in gulp juice or smeared with s-factor. The sand worm is way too thin to thread on to a jig head.

I think they are okay, I use them on Snook (similar to Pike for you Easterners) which are pretty ruthless with soft plastics. I only buy them when Anaconda have 50% Mojiko, for when you get 12 placcies for $2.50 you are winning.

Mojiko plastics are not worth buying! i bought 10 packs when on sale, they are hard to rig, they stink and they don't swim well. I reckon it's worth sticking to brands such as squidgy, ecogear and zman.

I looked at them when they had the 50% everything that Anaconda thought up and couldnt sell because it's cheap and made in the most backwater area of China (near the Siberian boarder)...

It doesnt take much that they're flogging a market that's already flogged to death, but having a look at plastics and going through the read of their speil and the 'squish' test really showed that they were really sub standard.

I'm a fan for cheap lures when they're available but these were on the plane of horrid. I'd rather use the dodgy Squidgy's I've got than those from Anaconda, at least you know you'll catch fish and have to change llures more often than get stuck with a packet of tyre rubber consistency lures.
