What would be the advantage of the line glowing for you? I have a couple of glowing bream lures but am yet to try them.. I suppose you'd be able to see where you had cast anyway

Basically what the system did, is the 'torch' clipped to your rod in-between the reel and the stripper guide (much like those clip-on line counters/bite indicators). The torch was hollow- you thread the line into the torch hole, where the line would be 'charged' via the UV light inside the torch. The line passed through the torch body the whole time you fished- so yeah it seemed to me the downside would be that you might have a reduction in casting distance. I think from memory the system was targeted towards their Egging fishery...?? |

anything white in color will glow under a blacklight, some things can be charged up with a blacklight and remain luminous though.

Just remember that some UV torches emit some nasty DohDohDohDoh that arent good for your skin.
Maxima Ultra Glow was another with a black light that glowed at night - was pretty cool but going to the trouble to get a black light and all that was pointless in the end... Could always get some "Gansal Glow Bait" between your fingers and run the line through it - it reacts with the water and glows alright. |

Wouldn't a glowing line spook the fishies?
