Ive been using them on the Goldy lately and doing alright. Key is to work them very slow. Slow lifts and give them plenty of time to sit on the bottom.

I saw a guy fishing them where lots of bait fish and shrimps, he was using no pauses and he was just twitching underneath the bait fish and he got a couple of nice blackies.

kinda like a blade but when your winding up the slack as you drop it you dont really have to hold the weight of the lure as much as it doesnt drop super quick

most of my fish take the lure on the drop or just as im about to lift then zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

This should give you a fair few tips!

One written by yours truly and the other by Dion Bull (forsterfisho) which is an awesome read on all the Cranka range.

Mate I usually use very little lifts, barely moving the rod at times in Winter.
Just a very tiny double hop, works very well with the Zman Grubz using the same technique.

In winter, fish them hard on the bottom with slow, subtle movements / small hops. Stay in light contact with your lure and feel or look for ticks in your line. If you miss a hit, stop drop your rod tip and let the lure just sit on the bottom untill the fish either picks it up or you are sure he is not comming back.

Fish will quite happily suck these vibes off the bottom even when they are just sitting there motionless. A little MEGA STRIKE or S FACTOR scent can enhance the bite on a slow winters day.

We find in winter down here it is all about targeting the exact right water depth and a boat fit with a good sounder realy helps in this respect. We did a days filming for the Hook Line and Sinker TV Program last week and the fish were in 6.4meters of water. If you were fishing in 6meters you were getting the odd fish, same went for 6.7m if you were spot on 6.4m you were smashing fish almost every cast on the CRANKA vibes. Coxy and I would have boated in excess of 60 - 70 fish for the 4.5hrs we were on the water for on the day. Depth is all important in winter when vibing as the fish concentrate in a depth where the water temps are stable and they can feed in comfort on this day that depth was 6.4m but everyday can be different depending on how much fresh is in the system and if you have a saltwater wedge pushing up under the fresh!.... Happy to say that the 40 mm CRANKA vibe won the day with the top three teams all fishing them!

Anyway, hope some of this helps you find a few winter bream!

Cheers
Steersy
