Sx40 and baby vibe front treble removal

Hey guys, chasing a bit if advice. When using sx40's, r2s baby vibes or other hard bodies do people take the front trebles off to avoid snagging and picking up weed? Also do u think this would reduce hook ups of fish at all?? Thanks guys

rather than take them off ive had better success by replacing them with a smaller treble, ive found that the smaller profile allows the treble to "hide" behind the bib and reduces snags and and also allows for bump strike hook-ups

I find upgrading the hooks to singles and facing them upright away from the bottom helps

Sometimes i will replace the trebles with W Hooks facing upwards of course, then you can throw those babys nearly anywhere also same deal on the smaller vibes. also sometimes just one w hook on the rear when the snagging get extreme.

i remove the middle treble when fishing rocks, it helps alot but obviously a suspending lure normally becomes a slow floater , i have not tried w hooks or singles on them yet but will surely give it a go thanks guys
