Question a different lure??

hi folks
I am wondering if any of you lure buffs have ever come accross a hard body small squid representation lure?
I have been watching bream recently hunting for small squid near the surface and hammering them.
The squid they are taking are about 25mm long so a lure up to about 40mm might do the trick.

In BREAMIN' 1, there is a sequence on Foster with a couple of the boys discussing lures to use. On the table in front of them they had a couple of Squid shapes lures with a treble embeded in the back of them - they looked like a 'harder' soft plastic but I can't remember what they were, or even if they mentioned the name.

Just letting you know something is available - you could also ask Warren about the Ecogear Squids - they look the business.

Have a look at them here:

Ecogear Power Squid

I know it's in Japanese - run it through the translator on Alta Vista - although you do get some kooky translations

Cheers,

Had la lokk through one of the Japenese lure cattledogs the other day, they had a great range of some really different looking lures including squids.

See if I can chase a site up for you.

You would do really well with the Ecogear Baby Squids. They are awesome lures and mimic baby squid amazingly... the little wings even ripple as they move. Get some close to the natural colour and rig them on a Gamakatsu Round 25 1/22nd with say a size 1 hook. That would fit well and the bream would surely go for it.

I have not used the smaller Ecogear Squid, but I did use the bigger models on Sunday whilst on the Harbour and I have to admit that they are the most life like Squid Imitations I have ever seen. Simply Awesome in the water

Cheers
Matt
