New line needed

Hi,
I just picked up a Shimano Stradic 2500fj and its now in need of some line.
I have had a look at the Berkley Nanofil aswell as the Sunline super pe.After doing some research on the Sunline ive found a few people have had quiet a few issues with wind knots etc is there any way to prevent this from happening? also any feedback on the Nanofil line would be great.

The reel will be more of a general fishing reel so not 100% sure what to spool it with i was thinking maybe 10lb it will mainly be used for chasing Bream and pinkies as well as the squid and will get used for the odd bait fishing for garfish and mullet

Cheers

Ted

I would personally pick the super PE over the nanofil, if you can afford it my recommendation would definitely be unitika, absolutely love the stuff

For a general line that will cover everything I would recommend anything from 6-12 lb

Good luck with it,

Cheers Kyle

I have used and love untika. i have it spooled on alot of my heavy spin combos.
funds at the moment dont allow me to spend all that much on lines at the moment after buying another reel when not really needing it

by the sounds of it looks like Sunline is the way to go.
Thanks for the information fellow Breamers.

If your chasing Pinkies on the same rig I wouldnt go lighter than 8lb myself but I wouldnt use the same rig either personally.

I just got a spool of toray saltline lightfish Pe and its super smooth. Normally not a fan of true braid but I love this stuff, you can feel a big difference when you cast.

Cheers

Me too on my 2500, it's thin enough for bream yet strong enough for bigger fish like snapper, great quality for $

Sunline Castaway PE is worth a look as well.
