Freams or Stradic CI4?

2000 freams or 1000 Stradic CI4, which one would you get?
If this has been done before I apologies tossing up which one to get. Leaning to the Stradic, but the freams is a good one also.

I personally dislike the stradic CI4's, to me they feel very fragile (for want of a better word) in the hand, and the ones I've used and played with all had some serious backplay in the handle... new ones in the shop included. That being said others love them to bits, so I deffinatly wouldn't say don't get one. The freams on the other hand, I have a 3000 and it is quality for the price, smooth as silk and feels very solid, also the handle is nice and tight, I can only assume the 2000 would be the same!

Both reels will impress though I'm sure

Stradic hands down mate. They're light as a feather and built like tanks.

stradic without a doubt... everyones negative oppinion is clearly based on never actually using one.. ive caught well over 200 fish on mine, mainly for flatties but over 15 trevally and a good 30 odd school jewies, shovel nose shark and jacks.... strong, retains beautiful smoothness. main thing looking at resale is it will never corrode and scratching the frame is very difficult to do.

Dan I got a 2500 Freams and its going good! Use it mainly for jewies and its been going great. Cops a flogging and still smooth as. For $200 its been a great reel.

Dan,

I'd go for the ci4, I love mine to bits and will be upgrading the rest of my reels to them through out the year (unless something awesome comes from AFTA). They are bulletproof, i treat mine poorly and it's still going strong.

I think only you will be able to make a decision on this one Dan.

Sounds like they are both good reels
