toray radius knots?

hey guys, I've got a 2500 sustain fg in need of some line. was going to get toray radius in 10lb or possibly 15lb if i can fit the full 200mtrs on the reel. the question is i had it on a alphas a while ago and always had trouble knotting it. i use an improved albright. i think i may know why it never use to work with the toray and I'm pretty sure I've changed what i was doing wrong. can knot power pro (my usual line) with the improved albright perfectly. is it ok to use an improved albright with the p.e style lines or does it cut into the leader too much. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
cheers scott

I always use a slim beauty mate. Never have any problems and use radius on a number of my reels.

Any questions feel free to ask

I use the slim beauty with my toray radius 30 odd lb
Works a treat. Knot doesnt slip and runs thru bc rod guides sweet as even with 80lb leader

My trick with the slim beauty is to tighten the living s#$% out of the double overhand leader knot with some lube, ie spit.
Five wraps down and ten back, lube pull tag and main, ensure its NEAT. lube and tighten. Has never failed, even on eighty lb braid with 100lb leader. sails through the guides.
Little tip. dont cut off leader tage too close to knot. leave about 1.5 mm and gently file it back with a small fine file. sounds like a lot of effort, but it works a treat.
Or you could carefully cut the leader with some sharp clipper. make sure they r sharp, you dont wanna mangle the remaining tag

Easiest thing to do here is to do about 4 alternating half hitches over the tag of the leader with the braid after you have completed the knot. Finish with a double hitch and then cut the tag really close. So effectively you still have like 2mm of tag until the figure of 8 but its hidden under half hitches of braid.

Works a treat
