Light leader to braid knot issues?

Hey guys just me again...im having problems joining my 4lb fins braid to my vanish 4lb leader...i normally use the GT knot to join my braids to leaders but since loading up with 4lb the flouro keeps slipping through the braided knot and the braid doesnt seem to want to dig in to the leader like it normally would....the first time I tied it on it tied on with no problems...its only since replacing the leader that I now have a prob...it annoyed me that much that I packed up and went home.....please help me
Jase...

I usually do a Bimini Twist to a Slim Beauty. The bimini gives it extra thickness=equals better holding power in your knots and over all a tad more power when fighting fish. If i am fishing and need to re-tie though, i will just go straight to a Slim Beauty.

I actually looked up the GT knot after you mentioned it the other day and thought mmmmmmm... maybe. I normally use a double uni or seagar knot. The seaguar can be a little fiddly if the twist tries to knot up but it is an excellent and strong knot for light line.

These are a couple of useful links showing most of the common knots.
Grog's knots or the Seaguar knot

Try the kaneit knot, it's very easy to tie. Other than that always lubricate your knots before tightening (spit ) as fluoro heats up when tightened.

I normally just go the Double Uni Knot for Bream, super easy and quick to tie and has never failed me, ever!!! All knots mentioned will be fine though mate, you will find one that suits you. Just make sure it is neat and not bulky so it does not catch the guides while casting.

Braid slips very easily mate so always double check your knots before casting, you don't want to be casting and have your leader and lure going flying off into the distance or lose that PB your bound to hook soon

Also this is just imo, lose the Vanish mate, its crap and you could lose some very good fish because of it. Sunline FC Rock for just a little bit extra $ and it will save you the heartbreak believe me.

Go FC Rock. I use 8lb after flatties stealing lures on 4lb. 8lb seems to stay connected better.
