Really annoying zipbait rigge

was fishing today with my zipbait riggie 35 and saw a bunch of salmon busting up (@25cm) so cast to them got hit landed one and noticed my 1 of my rigge's eyes fell out 1st fish on that lure too don't expect a $24 lure to lose a eye 1st fish.

anyways how often does this happen to other people?

I drew an eye in with perminent marker

Yeah, I've had it happen a couple of times too, not with Zipbaits lures though. It is really annoying, I agree. I ended up painting new eyes on in an effort to match the remaining one.

I save my smashed lures so I can take bits and pieces off and reuse them to save other lures...eyes are the main thing

It does happen, but not normally with Zipbaits!! Take it back from where you purchased it.

I often just draw one on with a waterproof texta.
Not as good as the original, but better than nothing.

Wouldn't worry about it to much mate. I don't think the fish will mind.

Lures will often lose eyes during fights with fish, irrespective of brand...also if you give them the old "slappa slappa" on the water to remove weeds, it quite often happens.

fishin.com.au have eyes in 3 different sizes for sale...they are $4.95 for packs of 20 eyes.

I've got plenty of lures that have lost eyes, they all still work a treat. They don't even need any eyes imo.

How do they see where their going ?

Just kidding, they still work fine with no eyes. I've got plenty with missing eyes, teeth marks and even one with a broken bib. If your going to throw +$20 lure at something that bites them you have to expect some damage. These lures are this price because fish like them.
No eyes, teeth marks they still work fine, crished bib not so fine but worth the $$$ to get the bites.
