Soft Plastic Vs Hard body Lures

Hey guys,

I'm just wondering what you have more success on, especially LB or in areas with shallow water
Personally, i like hard body lures as i just feel much more confident using them!!!

I used to be very much into my plastics and much less confident with Hardbods. Now not much difference between them. Usually just swap through techniques until i find what the fish want on the day.

Some areas and times of year are better for plastics others for HB's. It's good to be able to feel confident with a variety of lures not just one or the other.

I used to be more confident using hardbodies but since fishing more frequently for bream, more plastics have found a way into my tackle repertoire. I'm now equally confident in both my hb and sp fishing.

The thing I like the HB is that you are in constant contact with the lure. With SP if thre is a bit of wind during the drop you can miss bites.

There is also the casting, you don't want too heavy a jig head for a SP especially in shallow water. But with a HB you can go a shallow runner like the Atomic Bream Shad Mid or even try a floater.

I am more confident with plastics, though I don't give hards a good run enough.

Personally it depends where I'm fishing. I like hard bods in the shallow stuff but will switch to plastics once it gets over about 8 foot

Yeah, when the wind is getting up there blades are hard to beat in the deep stuff I reckon.
