1-3kg rod for straight through

Im looking for a 7" rod for running 4lb sunline shooter off my 2000 heartland. Hards to 4grams and light plastics. Will also be used for glow buggin trout in fast water and used in my kayak. 100-200 buck limit. Will consider second hand. Tryed out the new gen4 berkeley dropshot7" 1-3kg and loved the stiff action but hate the rear grip, im a fan of split butts. Can you cut and reshape eva? Is it like cork and can be sanded. If so I could get one of these, cut and shape and add a rear butt grip. Just a thaught as I have a soft spot for berkeley rods.

Can't go wrong with a Pflueger Trion the 1-3kg is a very nice rod.

Pretty sure they shape high density EVA on a lathe, I wouldnt sand it.

I dont know all the cheaper rods anymore, dropshots have always been ok but not sure about the quality of the guides. I would look at something with a forgiving tip if you are planing on fishing HB's

Cheers
Chris

Daiwa Infeet, a bit over 7' but will be good for what you want to do.

I don't mind the 1-3kg Pflueger patriarch xtr? I think that would make a nice little plastics rod

Lox Yoshi 1-3kg is mint as, I have it with a symetre 1000 with straight through 3LB Unikita Silver Thread, and christened it recently, good casting, awesome sensitivity.

I will back this one up, use the 6'8" in my yak with a 200 reel and 3lb straight through, Extremely light and easy to fish with, casts a mile and has a nice action.
Dale.

I did this research myself just recently.

It's seems almost all the 1-3kg rods on the market have been mentioned except this one. I use it with a shimano stradic ci4 2500 soon to be 1000. with 3lb Sunline FC Sniper straight through.

It has a medium fast action which is great for absorbing the shock when bream make runs.

7ft 1-3kg Shimano Lure Project Shad. Built specifically for fishing light straight through lines. And for around $120, you can't go wrong.
