boat rod question

i good friend just got a boat (finally i get to go out opn a boat) and i now need a boat rod (along with a bream rod, some new lures, leader ect) and i wanted to get one that i can catch some snappr on but i dont want a broom stick. i want something i can still cast lures with and it still being strong. Somthing around 7-9ft would be good what do you sugest

mate try a aglystick DohDohDohDohDoh has some nice ones on specail at the moment or kmart big sales at the moment cheers !
