GoPro Mounts for yak fishing

Hey everyone,
Today I got a GoPro HD Hero2 and I was wondering why mount to use or kayak fishing. I have been inspired by shufoys's vids to mount it up the front (and buy the camera in the first place :P ). I have the surf hero pack, I was thinking about mounting it up past my feet so that the rod is visible aswell as me. Would this work or is this to far away.
Thanks and Merry Christmas,
Tom

To give you an idea... This photo was taken with the camera mounted about 15cm high from the front hatch (end closest to you) on a Revo. I got the motorsports kit for the suction mount and got a few extra mounts too.

The adhesive mounts will be perfect for that and I tether mine as well just to be safe.

What I've been doing for my boat is holding the camera in different spots and taking photos. Then I'll look at them on the computer and choose the best position to mount.

The front hatch will be your best bet and the curved adhesive mount should be fine there but make sure you get the position right the first time.. Remember the mounts don't swivel around, they only tilt and lean.

Like Hazell said it may just take a bit of trial and error. Get out in the back yard with a rod and try a few different spots. Really depends on what yak you have to. You want it in a place that's fairly easy to reach, so you can turn it on and of easily. This also makes it easier to edit if you stop and restart after you catch a fish. I'll be mainly using the head or chest strap with mine to start. Mainly just because I like that point of view in videos.
